Los pájaros

Hace poco me dí cuenta de la cantidad de pájaros tropicales que nos rodean en el estudio. Cada uno tiene su origen singular, pero siempre son guacamayos, cacatúas y tucanes.

Some time ago I notice that our studio is sorround by lots of tropical birds. Although each one has a singular origin, they always are macaws, cockatoos and toucans.

...Y podríamos decír que consolidé mi interés en estos pájaros hace 2 semanas cuando encargué esta cacatúa de porcelana de Ucrania por Ebay. Ayer llegó, impecable. La voy a convertir en lámpara cuando encuentre la forma de hacerlo!

... my intrerest on this birds has grown so much that two weeks ago I ordered a porcelain cockatoo from Ukraine, by Ebay. It arrived yesterday, flawless. I'm going to turn it into a lamp when I find out how to do it! 

Hoy

Hoy es el día nacional de las aves.
Y esa soy yo con una Cacatúa Alba picandome la mano, un tiempo atrás en un aviario hermoso.

Today is bird's national day.
Here I am with a white cockatoo pecking my hand, some time ago in a beautiful avery.

Mes de Bu

Empezó el mes y con este solcito mi ánimo despegó y recordé una vez mas que la primavera (y sus vísperas) me alegran la vida, así, derepente. Volver a la manga corta, las sandalias, salir de la cama sin frío a la mañana, y tener el solcito iluminando el estudio, mientras en la radio suenan (vaya a saber por qué) los temas que escuchaba en los 90s.

Todo esto para contarles que elegí este mes, en Noviembre del 2011 cuando me convocaron a ilustrar un mes del siempre impecable calendario RomiPack que veo en los escritorios de todas las marcas que visito. 

Así quedó Septiembre por bu:

September started and with it came the sun that woke up my spirits and made me remerber that spring (and it's eves) make my life happier. Back to short sleeves, sandals, going out of bed with out chilling in the morging, having sunlight all over the studio, while we here on the radio 90's greatest hits (no one knows why really!)
That's the reason why I chose this month, in November 2011, when they called me to illustrate a month in the always flawless RomiPack calendar thay I see in every brand I visit. 
This is how September by Bu looks like:

La tarde

Cada tanto Estefi me da su tarjetita de memoria, para que baje las fotos que fue sacando -no sabemos bien cuando- en el Estudio.
Ve una luz, una sombra, un color.. y sigilosamente saca su cámara, y toma una foto.

Some times Estefi gives me her memory card so I can download the pictures she takes -no one knows when exactly- in the Studio.
She sees some light, a shadow, some color... and stealthily takes out her camare and make a picture. 

Y el resultado es sorpresivo.

The outcome is unexpected.

Anthology

Anthology es una publicación norteamericana, de San Francisco mas precisamente, sobre diseño, decoración y estilo de vida, con un nivel de fotografías impresionante y una calidad de contenido e impresión sobresaliente.

En el último número tuve el honor de que me entrevisten y extiendan dicha entrevista a lo largo de 6 páginas con dibujos de mi casa. 

Como si fuera poco, me la mandaron a Madrid, donde la recibí enseguida, con una adorable carta de agradecimiento, y publicaron este post en el blog de la revista, el cual recomiendo visitar con frecuencia, porque siempre suben cosas interesantes.

Anthology se consigue por suscripción en Europa o Estados Unidos, y se puede comprar también en Anthropologie. Todavía no llega a Buenos Aires :(  snif...

Anthology is an american magazine, from San Francisco, about desing, deco and life style, with an impresive level of photography, top-quality contents and outstanding print.

In the last number, I had the honor of being interviewed. This interview was complemented with drawings of muy house, in a 6 page length report. 

As if this wasn't enought, they sent me the number to Madrid, where i got it really fast, with a nice gratitude note. They also public this post in the magazine bolg, wich I highly recomend visiting because it's always update with really intresting contents.

Anthology is recived by subscription in Europe and United States, and is also selled in Anthropologie. It still doesen´t reach Buenos Aires :( snif ...
